In June of 2014, the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) and the Family Policy Compliance Office (FPCO) released IDEA and FERPA Confidentiality Provisions Crosswalk. This document is a side-by-side comparison of the primary legal provisions and definitions in IDEA Part B, IDEA Part C and FERPA that relate to the requirement to protect the confidentiality of personally identifiable information of students and children served under the IDEA.
