Hi! Would anyone be willing to share their personnel policy regarding Facebook and other social media? I’d like to offer some guidance to staff about communicating over social media. Any examples or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks! Alex

Hi Alex: There are several resources you can use as models and adapt to your own Center’s purposes. At NICHCY, we had the following social media policy posted on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/notes/10150124494008198/

Also, have a look at the Guide to Using Facebook in Dissemination, especially pages 19-24. Some of the links may be out of date, but the suggestions are sound. And the websites mentioned are still up and running, with the most recent of guidance to carry you forward. http://www.parentcenterhub.org/wp-content/uploads/repo_items/dissemcop/FacebookGuide.pdf
