As of March 23, the status of state requests for a waiver to exceed the 1% cap on alternate assessments is as follows:
• Waivers have been approved for AR, DE, LA, KY, MA, MS, OH, WI
• Waiver has been partially approved for IN (approved for ELA/Math, denied for Science assessment)
• Waiver denied for PA due to failure to test at least 95% of students with disabilities.
• Waiver requests known to be pending for: GA, HI, ME, OK, TX

Advocates are meeting with representatives of the USED Office of Elementary and Secondary Education and OSERS on April 5, 2018, to discuss waiver implementation issues. If you have concerns you would like us to share please let me know.
