The National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorders developed a series of modules describing evidence-based practices. This web page provides an overview of the evidence-based practice of Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), a systematic way of determining the underlying communicative function or purpose of a behavior, so that an effective intervention plan can be developed.
