Updated March 22, 2019  |  The AIM Navigator is an online tool that facilitates the process of decision-making around accessible instructional materials for an individual student. It clarifies the four major decision points in the process:

  • determination of need
  • selection of format(s)
  • acquisition of format(s)
  • selection of supports for use

The AIM Navigator includes a set of guiding questions and useful references and resources specifically related to each decision point.

Editor’s Note: The acronym AIM has morphed over time into the acronym AEM, assessible educational materials. AEM is now the acronym you’ll hear and see most often. The title of this resource reflects this change–it’s now called the AEM Navigator.
