(2020, December) | Useful to: All those concerned about and/or involved with promoting racial equity in schools, communities, and systems.

This glossary comes from Racial Equity Tools, a website that is designed to support individuals and groups working to achieve racial equity. It offers tools, research, tips, curricula, and ideas for people who want to increase their understanding and to help those working for racial justice at every level.

Within the glossary you’ll find the meaning of a wide array of oft-used terms such as: ally, anti-racist ideas, collusion, critical race theory, privilege, and racist policies. The glossary itself is online and easy to use with its list of terms, each of which can be selected and thus expanded to show its meaning and the references on the subject. The definitions are written at an academic level of readability, but still are very useful for gaining insight into the very important issue of racial equity.
