Parent & Family Engagement Provisions in ESSA

At the Region 2 Parent Centers Meeting, we had the opportunity to present on ESSA along with Candace Cortiella of the Advocacy Institute.

We conducted a small group activity where the Parent Centers were able to dig into six of the ESSA provisions related to parent and family engagement. This interactive activity can be used with your Parent Center staff, volunteers and also parent leaders in your state to activate their learning and action around the implementation of ESSA, especially at the district and school levels. It includes a slide deck to guide the discussion and handouts you can use with your participants.
