I am the Regional Parent Mentor for Michigan Alliance for Families covering five counties: Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm and Ottawa. I am a member of the Arc MI State Board and actively participate on the Arc Education Committee and also serve as a member of the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council appointed by Governor Snyder in 2014 to a four year term. I have been married for 28 years and am a mother to four children, one of them on the Autism spectrum with Asperger’s Syndrome, who also has Nonverbal Learning Disorder and is A.D.D.-Inattentive.
